Busy Weekends For Hog Roast Hazlemere!

Weekends are always our busiest days and sometimes we are out catering at a number of events on the same day. Luckily I have a fantastic team here at Hog Roast Hazlemere who I know will deliver a fantastic service at any event and don’t always need me to be present. On Saturday I had 2 teams heading out to 3 different events and with a quick brief in the morning we were set to have a very productive and successful day feeding hundreds of people!

I was heading out to an afternoon party in Hazlemere to cater for Martin and his 80 guests (the smaller event of the 3) as I knew I could cater the party on my own while my other teams headed out to the larger events. With years of experience behind me I am able to host a fantastic dining experience for under 100 guests still on my own. I spent years perfecting my timings, and having my own routine to ensure that there is no queue, always hot food available and obviously the unbelievable Hog Roast Hazlemere taste that everyone can’t get enough of!

Martin had requested a simple but tasty menu for his guests, the traditional ‘pig in buns’ as we call them here at Hog Roast Hazlemere. An old favourite, warm and filling food that everyone can enjoy. I ensured that I had a selection of bread rolls and wraps available for the guests to choose from, plenty of pulled pork and crackling to fill the rolls and wraps and of course apple sauce and stuffing!

With a chaffing dish piled up high of fresh pulled pork I was ready for the guests to start grabbing their choice of rolls for me to fill. Martin had arranged for the guests to come in 2 sections so I could then re-fill my chaffing dish (very organised of him and well thought of). After the second sitting of guests had been served I was getting ready for round 2! Martin knew that he had lots of hungry guests attending and plenty of men who love their food, so we decided to plan a hog that would feed 120 guests so there was plenty left over for seconds! Martin called ‘Anyone for seconds?’ and plenty of guests leaped up at the opportunity to come and have some more!

We had a small amount left over for Martin’s beloved dog Bruce (great name) as Martin wanted a little treat for Bruce when he got home.
