Ever since her children were young, Lillian has hosted Halloween parties for them to enjoy with their friends. This tradition has not ended, even though her youngest child is now 18! The parties are great for bringing together friends and family and enjoying an evening of fun together and, of course, lots of excellent costumes. This year, Hog Roast Drayton Parslow has been hired to cater for the occasion and the party is set to be bigger than ever, with 80 guests in attendance. For the menu, our team was hired to serve a classic hog roast, with an additional meat-free dish for veggie guests to enjoy.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Drayton Parslow team is planning on arriving at Lillian’s home in the afternoon to prepare for the 7:00pm mealtime. We will begin the prep by slow-roasting the hog for over 5 hours before it will be expertly carved by our chef. Once ready, the sliced pork will be served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. For meat-free guests, we will be serving BBQ pulled jackfruit, which is a great alternative to pulled pork. The guests will also be able to enjoy a variety of side dishes, including homemade chips, a selection of seasonal salad dishes, and gourmet coleslaw. We are expecting this menu to go down a treat at the party and is sure to be a great event.
