Karen and Mark have been married for almost thirty years and are celebrating their wedding anniversary in February. To mark this milestone, they are planning on hosting an anniversary party to enjoy with their friends and family, in an elegantly decorated marquee near their home in Buckinghamshire. The event will include live music from a local band, plenty of space to dance, an open bar, and a delicious meal from Hog Roast Wendover. For the menu, our catering manager Catrina was on hand to discuss several options with the couple, before it was decided that a classic hog roast would be ideal for the occasion.
In preparation for this event, Catrina and the Hog Roast Wendover team will arrive at the marquee in the afternoon to prepare our menu for the 8:00pm serving time. Our preparation will begin by slow-roasting the hog and ensuring that it is cooked to perfection, before being expertly carved by Catrina. The sliced pork will then be served in fresh bread rolls and accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be providing BBQ-pulled jackfruit, which is a delicious meat-free alternative to pulled pork. The mains will be accompanied by homemade chips, sweet potato fries, corn cobettes, seasonal salad dishes, crunchy coleslaw, and creamy mac and cheese. Overall, this is an incredibly varied and delicious menu, with plenty for every guest to enjoy and more than enough to go around. The Hog Roast Wendover team is sure that this event will be a lot of fun and we are looking forward to being part of it!
