Hog Roast Crook Going The Whole Hog

Hog Roast Crook’s head chef Kerry and her delightful daughter Teegan served a classic hog roast to North Bucks Machining Ltd in Milton Keynes on Wednesday. A delicious Christmas treat for their deserving staff. Milton Keynes has only just become part of Hog Roast Crook’s area and catering managers Ben and Beth are thrilled that so many people are taking an interest in what they have to offer with North Bucks Machining Ltd being one of them.

Hog Roast CrookIt was very wet, miserable day to be serving outside on Wednesday but nevertheless, the team wrapped up warm and off they went to deliver excellent service and scrumptious food. In attempt to raise the spirits of the staff that had to brave the cold to collect their food, Hog Roast Crook greeted them with a cute pig basket with hand sanitiser to ensure the safety of the clients and to put a smile on their face. A chalkboard was also added to encourage them to completely indulge, especially since its Christmas time!

As a thank you and kind gesture, the staff came out with hot chocolates for the girls to enjoy while they remained open to serve for the two hours as discussed. Kerry and Teegan were serving 20 people so had a 40kg pig. The pig had been roasted on low heat for 8 hours to ensure that the meat was completely tender and juicy and the crackling particularly crunchy! The meat was served in a selection of bread rolls and wraps which the staff were delighted with as they were given a choice. To accompany the meat, stuffing that was cooked in the juices of the pig was added so that the bread roll becomes heaven on a plate! Are you a sauce person? No problem! Hog Roast Crook always provides a selection of sauces, this time it was the traditional apple sauce (this happened to be North Bucks Machining Ltd’s favourite!), sweet chilli, ketchup, mustard and mayonnaise. All of these are said to compliment the pork really well according to past clients!

The food was devoured and leftovers were handed over to the client (not that there was much to give as it had been thoroughly enjoyed by all!) who received them with much gratitude.
