With Bonfire Night around the corner, our catering manager Catrina is finalising the plans for an event at a community centre in Buckinghamshire. The event is being hosted for local people of all ages to enjoy and will include face painting, fireworks, sparklers, and great food from Hog Roast Beaconsfield. For the catering, we needed to provide something that would warm the guests up on the chilly November evening, which is ideal for Hog Roast Beaconsfield since we have so many cosy and comforting menus. There also needed to be dishes suitable for guests of all ages, so it was decided that we would serve a customised hog roast menu with a few additional dishes.
In preparation for this event, the Hog Roast Beaconsfield team is planning on arriving at the venue in the afternoon and setting up our catering station next to the community centre. Our food prep will begin by slow-roasting the hog, which will need around five hours to cook to perfection. Once the pork is ready, it will be carved and served in fresh bread rolls, alongside sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling. Additionally, we will be serving succulent pork sausages and veggie sausages in bread rolls to create hot dogs for the guests to enjoy. The mains will be accompanied by homemade chips, gourmet coleslaw, and corn cobettes, creating a varied and nutritious evening buffet. The Hog Roast Beaconsfield team is looking forward to catering for this event and getting to enjoy a great night of entertainment while we work!
