Did you know that pigs are really pretty bright? They are remarkably sociable and can communicate with each other by snorting and sniffing. After people and primates and dolphins they are the next most intelligent creature. So don’t get a dog get a pig! Despite appearances, (short legs and a somewhat chunky figure!) they are very speedy and are used as truffle hunters in France. Even the ancient Egyptians used to use them to plant seeds.
