There is nothing nicer than cooking out door in the summer we all love eating out door in Thrapston whether it be picnic or bbq and hog roasting is now becoming a firm favourite amongst people and we are so pleased to be part of it. Hog roast are out every weekend and weekdays too serving the country our delicious food! Saturday we were in a lovely little village surrounded by wonderful cottages we were catering in the village hall for the local church family fun day and we couldn’t wait to get started. Hog roast brought pig, and chicken and wasted no time getting the meat on the go. Special spring salads were also required and we made them with ease, we have wonderful suppliers who supply us with the freshest of foods. Lots of the church congregation and their families started to arrive and there was lots of entertainment for all a folk group, wind band and a dance act for the children there was a bouncy castle, art and craft tables and a sand pit everyone was having such fun and had really worked up an appetite, we began to serve the wonderful food and the children had bigger appetites than the adults! They couldn’t half eat we were quite amazed as they came back for second helpings. We sat and watched the dance act which were amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed the band lots of very talented people and money raised was going to be shared amongst the local village charities helping the elderly they do a lot of fundraising and we thought is was great community spirit that hog Roast Hire decided to donate one hundred pounds to the charity and we were thanked so much by the organisers for the food and for the donation which we thought was such a worthy cause and love to help others whenever we can. We said good bye to everyone and we were on our way we couldn’t help feeling a little humble as the villagers were so caring it was so nice to see everyone helping one another…
