Sweet 16 – Hog Roast Calvert

We were catering for a group of lively teens last Friday evening with a hog roast Calvert and boy can they eat! The young lad Josh was celebrating his 16th birthday and having his party at the local village hall and we catered for 150.

We arrived at teatime to give us lots of time to prepare and cook. We brought with us the largest of our machines and placed sausages and chicken onto cook and within minutes the smell was amazing. On the underside of the machine we placed rows of potatoes and as the food cooked we began to make the fillings for the potatoes. We made a cheese and chive filling which is always a favourite and a tuna and sweet corn filling another favourite. We chopped and sliced lots of lettuce, cucumber, tomatoes, spring onions and courgettes and placed them in separate bowls and dotted them around the tables. We placed huge baskets of soft buns in an assortment of flavours and size plenty of variety for everyone. And all we had to do now was wait for the guests.

We didn’t have to wait too long and the doors threw open and the teens all ascended on the hog roast Calvert ! We removed the chicken and sausage from the machine and plated them on servers the chicken was so moist and the sausages retained their shape full of goodness and flavour. The teens were full of chat and kept telling us the food was ‘Awesome!” and you could see by the speed they were eating they were thoroughly enjoying themselves. The parents were saying the food was so good and saying how healthy it was too and we have to agree the food is so wholesome and full of goodness we only use the finest and freshest ingredients and rely on our great suppliers to supply us as they always do with nothing but the very best produce. The party was in full swing as we left and we could see everyone was full as the tables were bare! The teens were a lovely bunch and we had fun chatting to them all, everyone seemed to thoroughly enjoy the hog roast Calvert .
