Well we are nearly at the end of the season, which has been incredibly busy. A lot of work has got closer to base. Last Friday was one of my favourites. It is always easier when the venue is one we know and the staff are already on our side having tasted the food and worked with us before.
The journey for this was to hog roast Binfield Heath, which takes us through areas that we have done much work in before. I recall some years ago we worked in a nearby Town . the job was amongst the beautiful row of cottages that line the road, amongst which there is a speed camera !!
On arrival at the Phyllis Court Club I was greeted by one of the sales and events team. We quickly ran through the times, menu and numbers expected. All was thankfully straightforward. Todays event was with Pulled Pork and Chicken wings with crunchy ‘slaw. Also a few special dietary requirements which I was all ready to cater for.
The setting is wonderful since it is next to the river Thames and also there is a very handy satellite kitchen which is handy for a little bit of washing up.
Everything was perfectly on time as explained by Dominique and fortunately the weather held up and there was no need to move everything inside.
It was one of these occasions where there was plenty leftover which meant that staff could indulge, and thankfully compliments were forthcoming for hog roast Binfield Heath, since we had used a special barbecue recipe to mix with the pulled pork. The blue cheese dressing proved a hit.
