This was a lovely wedding in Charvil, the village Hall. It was one of those events where the timings are perfect. It was not too early or indeed late. The facilities at the Hall were also perfect. That said there was the added problem of the wind. The journey along the M40 certainly told us this was going to be a tricky one. It is probably a hog roaster’s worst enemy. The dilemma is two fold in that screening may seem to be the answer.
Once Hog Roast Banbury had arrived we did the usual walk about to check with friends of the family what was the best approach, set up and all the important details. Then came the challenge to find the least windy spot.. Our options were limited due to the general layout. Once everything was in place and weighted down we fired up. Despite the wind there was only one moment to relight, thankfully.
There was an interesting moment of when a large horse trailer arrived . Now this was a small village and Hog Roast Banbury were in a cul-de –sac. However all was soon to be revealed as the pantechnicon pulled into the car park. There on board were a beautiful pair of 17 hand chestnut horses . They had arrived along with their carriage ready to pick up the bride and groom. The plan was to collect the couple and take them to the church and then bring them to the village hall. All very logical.
All went well and Hog Roast Banbury were thanked as we left with the music about to start, what a Friday. Brilliant start to the weekend and the rest of life together…
