Laura and Ben have been together for almost six years and recently got engaged while on holiday in France. Once they had returned from their holiday they got straight to work on planning the perfect party for sharing their great news with family and friends. When it came to finding a caterer for their engagement party, Ben knew that he wanted to hire Hog Roast Farnham Royal for the occasion. He enjoyed a classic hog roast served by our team at a corporate event he attended in 2023 and thought that our alfresco menu would be perfect for this spring event. Our catering managers Craig and Catrina agreed that this is ideal and soon got to work planning the menu.
On the day of the engagement party, the Hog Roast Farnham Royal team arrived at the function room in the morning and began to prepare for the 1:00pm serving time. We began the menu by serving the delicious al fresco sharing platters to the tables. The platters included succulent meats and gourmet cheese, alongside fresh bread and salad dishes. This course has something for everyone to enjoy and is a perfect introduction to the menu. For the main meal, we served a delicious slow-roasted hog, which had been cooked to perfection on-site. Once ready to carve, the pork was accompanied by sage and onion stuffing, homemade applesauce, and crispy crackling, as well as roasted potatoes and seasonal vegetables. For the dessert course, the guests enjoyed sticky toffee pudding and chocolate torte, with each dish looking and tasting great!
