Summer drawing to a close but still lots and lots of bookings and luckily the weather has been kind. This week we have been catering almost every day and mid week we hosted an evening event with a hog roast Swanbourne.
The opening of a night club and we were called in to feed the crowds! We arrived early as there were lots to do, unloading the van setting up the machines and laying the serving table. Once that was done we placed the beef, chicken and sausages to cook, then we began to pile bowls high with salads, coleslaw and dips all made fresh we placed the bowls out and unloaded the baskets of crisps fresh buns and baguettes. We brought with us lots of sauces, ketchup and mustards and all that was needed was the guests!
The ribbon was cut and the crowds piled in heading straight to us. We placed the meat in the bus and guests helped them selves to salads and sauce the bar staff stood there in disbelief as no one at that point was buying a drink! The owner of the club was so grateful and kept thanking us saying we had made the night soon the place was jumping with loud music and drinks flowing we had such a good night!
As we cleared up in the early hours we were all ready for our bed although our head chef we fear was ready to stay! Such a fun night there is simply no occasion we haven’t catered for, you name it we have done it! As we left we left some cards behind the bar and lots of customers took one so we are hopeful of more bookings as when we cleared away there was nothing left. Now that is a compliment and a half! On the drive back home we still had the music ringing in our ears such a fun night. And we have another club opening next weekend this time for a huge venue so extra staff we will be taking too. We love our job here at hot roast Swanbourne, the best job in the world we feel.
