With September here we are still as busy as we were at the start of the summer and it is showing absolutely no signs of slowing down and we wouldn’t have it any other way! We love to be busy and it gives us so much joy being busy we really are at our best when we are put under pressure and none more so than Sunday for a large gathering for an engagement party and we were so excited. We arrived extra early as we had a long and hard morning getting all the meat cooking before the guests arrive and waiting for the meat to cook. We were catering in the couples wonderful farm house barn a huge barn in Souldern that had been converted and now used as a function room for parties and the likes and we thought it amazing! Being hog roast Souldern caterers we also brought with us a huge mountain of Souldern bread buns the freshest and softest buns made by our wonderful baker and we couldn’t wait to get started we tied the day perfect and the guests began to arrive our wonderful staff greeted each of the guests and gave them a glass of the finest champagne and as the happy couple arrived they were met by a round of applause by the guests and they were in fact celebrating their silver wedding anniversary and they looked ever so happy! All the guests raised their glasses and wished the couple well as they all continued to celebrate we got on with the dishing up! We carved the wonderful meats chicken, lamb and beef and placed them onto huge servers with this we added some nice salad and dips and then the guests helped them selves and placed the meat into buns we find the guests love to make their own sandwiches and add which ever sips take their fancy and we do provide a fair few! A wonderful day was had and the couple said some very kind words to us and we came away feeling really proud that again we had again had been a huge success!
