Earlier this year, Hog Roast Winslow was contacted by a school in Buckinghamshire to arrange catering for the end-of-year celebration, hosted for pupils in year 11 and year 13. The event is always a lot of fun and pupils look forward to it during the stressful exam period. This year, alongside the funfair activities and non-uniform day, Hog Roast Winslow has been hired to provide a delicious barbeque for the 350 guests to enjoy. This menu is guaranteed to go down a treat at the event as it includes a wide variety of dishes and always tastes great on a summer day.
When the day of the event arrived, Catrina and her team arrived at the school in the morning to prepare for the 1:00 pm serving time. We began by barbequing the main dishes, which included succulent sausages, juicy British beef burgers, halloumi and vegetable skewers, veggie sausages, marinated chicken kebabs, and BBQ spareribs. These dishes were served in fresh bread rolls, with gluten-free rolls also on offer. For the side dishes, we provided homemade chips, sweet potato fries, corn cobettes, a selection of seasonal salad options, and fresh mac and cheese. This menu allowed every pupil to create their ideal lunch from the variety of options that we had to offer, which was perfect for making everyone happy! Our catering was a great addition to the day and definitely was a success with the teachers and pupils.
