At Hog Roast Thame, we understand that your wedding day will be one of the most important days of your life, which is why we strive to make it as stress free as possible. On the 13th December, we did exactly that for JP and Ciara’s special day, the atmosphere was relaxed and cosy which was the perfect fit for their winter celebration.
The after party took place at The Meadow Church with guests arriving ready to warm up, catch up, and enjoy a proper feast. With a serve time set for 15:30 and 129 hungry mouths to feed, the focus was on keeping things smooth, sociable, and satisfying for every guest.
The menu was designed to please a wide range of tastes whilst keeping that comforting, crowd-pleasing feel. Of course, the main event was our whole roasted pig, slow cooked on site until the meat melted in the mouth and the crackling was crispy. Guests will be able to build their own plates using a selection of fresh bread rolls and wraps, with gluten-free rolls available so no one is left out. Alongside the meat will be classic apple sauce and sage and onion stuffing to complete the festive feel.
With Hog Roast Thame, vegetarian and vegan guests are always well catered for too. A homemade pulled jackfruit option was served in a soft bun, in a hickory BBQ sauce and topped with a crunchy slaw. It’s a hearty alternative that sits perfectly alongside the main roast, rather than feeling like an afterthought.
With Craig overseeing the event as Catering Manager, the aim was to make sure service ran seamlessly so JP and Ciara could focus on celebrating with their friends and family. The menu was the perfect addition to the season, guests came back for multiple plates which made a great talking point between friends and family.
Hog Roast Thame were honoured to be a part of such a special day, the catering was the perfect touch to the unforgettable afternoon. We loved watching as guests caught up, shared stories and reflected on the relationship of the happy couple. It was clear how loved JP and Ciara are by their nearest and dearest. We really enjoyed being a part of their story and helping make their after party one to remember.
