Hog Roast Buckingham knows there are milestones that deserve a different kind of celebration and a 60th, diamond wedding celebration is definitely one of them. Our guests of honour were treated to a night to remember, planned and organised alongside our friendly catering team, by their daughter Alaina.
Last Saturday evening, at the Embelton Way Scout and Community Centre, 60 guests began arriving at 5:30pm and were immediately greeted with the aroma of our slow roasted hog. The main event had been roasting on site hours before everyone arrived. Slices of flavoursome pork were paired perfectly with crispy crackling and sweet apple sauce, as well as sage and onion stuffing and freshly baked bread rolls/wraps. Our customers often comment on the inclusivity of our menus, no guest missed out on this celebratory feast!
On the menu for our vegetarian and vegan guests were our grilled vegetable and halloumi skewers (halloumi-free for our vegans), paired with soft wraps, refreshing tzatziki dip or sweet chilli sauce. For any guests craving a heartier meal, we also had a BBQ pulled jackfruit, piled high on a fresh bread roll, topped with crunchy coleslaw.
All of our delicious options were served up onto disposable plates with napkins, ensuring that guests could get up and socialise with one another and go back for seconds or try a different menu item, if they so wished!
The Hog Roast Buckingham team was led by our experienced catering manager Craig, who ensured every detail was considered and the evening ran smoothly from the first bite to the final toast. This meant that Alaina and her parents could take in the perfect atmosphere, filled with love and laughter. Between bites of delicious food, the guests reminisced on memories created over 60 years of partnership, old stories were re-told and new memories were being recreated right before us.
As the night drew to a close, our happy couple had been surprised with not only a magical event but a feast to remember. All guests left with full stomachs and smiles on their faces.
