Isn’t it just the best feeling when everything comes together at the right moment? That was exactly the case for our host’s Zetica works event on 8th May. Held at Zetica House in Eynsham, the evening was all about bringing the team together after their busy work week, to enjoy delicious food shared with great company. With 100 guests attending from across the company, we had a clear goal, deliver a memorable event which would be described as hearty and full of flavour. Enter Hog Roast Eynsham!
As our friendly manager Craig and his team arrived on site, the day had been stereotypically British, with grey skies and an uncertain forecast. But just as the setup began, it’s as if fate stepped in and the sun finally broke through. The weather completely transformed the atmosphere, lifting spirits instantly and even bringing out a DJ, the sun and the music had everyone smiling, chatting and getting into the mood for the evening ahead. This created the perfect soundtrack for a relaxed summer style gathering.
With the atmosphere building, our Hog Roast Eynsham team got to work preparing the centrepiece of the evening, a slow cooked whole roasted pig served with savoury stuffing. The smell alone was enough to draw everyone involved in and it became the focal point of the event. Guests lined up to build their perfect plate, piling tender pork into soft bread rolls and wraps and enjoying indulgent yet comforting food. To ensure all guests were catered for and no one felt like an after thought, we also served up a delicious veggie and vegan option this meant no one missed out on the feast. Alongside the main event, guests could choose fluffy new potatoes and sweet, charred corn on the cob, adding a perfect balance of hearty and fresh sides. It was simple, generous food cooked to perfection, exactly what a relaxed company celebration calls for.
What made the evening even better was the way people came together. Teams that don’t always get a chance to chat during the workday were laughing over plates, catching up outside and enjoying a rare moment of relaxation together. With everything served on eco-friendly bamboo crockery, the setup also felt relaxed and easy, keeping the focus on the food and the company.
