Hog Roast Horspath

On Friday evening hog roast Horspath served some mouth watering canapés and roasted a pig and a lamb for 180 people in Horspath. This was a charity function to raise funds for breast cancer and although we do not know how much was finally raised, there was Hog Roast Horspath Pic 2certainly a successful auction of some very enticing prizes.

As usual we arrived 6 hours before to get the pig up and roasting, with the lamb following 3 hours later. In the meantime, hog roast Horspath prepared canapés of steamed dim sum, sausages with a honey mustard glaze, pate served on a garlic crouton, veggie pakoras, chicken satay, and duck wraps.

Hog Roast Horspath PicThe guests then enjoyed our delicious anti pasti platters consisting of prosciutto, Parma ham, different salamis, buffalo mozzarella, gorgonzola, parmesan, olives all served with artisan breads made for us by our local French baker. This proved to be a great way for people to mingle as it was served buffet style on wooden platters.

The pig and lamb was served after the auction and was greatly enjoyed particularly the succulent crackling. Always a winner! We cleared away our debris and left the party to continue into the night, grateful that the weather had stayed dry and unseasonably warm for October.
