The pheasant shooting season has now ended- but no sooner do the pheasants think they are home and free when along comes our neighbourhood fox who judging by the evideence has had a good old munch at a couple. As mentioned before we have been troubled by the fox before when he took some of our chickens on a previous occasion. The hunt came  a couple of Saturdays ago but this has obviously not solved the problem. Looks like we’ll have to keep the chickens in until there is a more plentiful supply of food in the spring.an alternative I think is getting some alpacas.
