Possibly the first sign that the summer is in fact coming to an end presented itself to the Hog Roast Haseley team this past weekend, over the bank holiday, as the skies opened up to rain down on what ‘til then was a wonderfully put together 60th wedding anniversary. But, as ever, the Hog Roast Haseley team made sure to adapt to the changing elements and ensure that everyone still came away having had a great meal and a great time.
This was an event set up by Ben, son to two wonderful parents who this month marked their 60th year of marriage. To ensure that marking such a milestone was properly observed, Ben put together an exceptional anniversary celebration at his own home, inviting a handful of close friends and family to toast to the wonderful love shared between his parents. To really make it a celebration, Ben also ordered for Hog Roast Haseley’s stylish roast catering – a perfect choice for every big occasion.
Ben’s home was an excellent place to cater. The grounds were just perfect for us to set up and get to cooking our signature hog roast. The day seemed bright and clear while we did so, making us all optimistic that our hog roast roll service would go as planned and the event could all be held out in the garden through the day. That was true for a good portion of the day, but as luck would have it the heavens opened up just as we were about to serve – isn’t that just always the way of it?
Undeterred and committed to still providing great service, the Hog Roast Haseley team thankfully acted quickly to ensure the food wasn’t spoiled and make new arrangements to get guests served under good cover without the rain to dampen the mood at all. We have Ben and the guests to thank for also keeping spirits high, even when the weather threatened to spoil the day. Together we all made it through and still created magic memories for mum and dad on their 60th anniversary!
