Not every event has to be something massive. Sometimes the more intimate, close friends and family are just as valuable, if not more so.
Last week at Hog Roast Coventry our team had the pleasure of joining one such event. Coventry resident Lloyd had called up our catering office to request a special dining experience for his daughter’s 21st birthday. While the daughter will no doubt have something big planned with friends at another time, this was to be one for the family and close friends, who have all watched as Lloyds daughter has grown up and now sets off into full adulthood. Knowing that it was going to be a smaller event with around 35 guests, our head chef Craig was more than happy to join.
A small, modest event is just the thing needed sometimes for such an occasion. The big celebrations can come later; this was one for the uncles, the aunts, the grandparents and cousins to join in some shared time for the birthday girl. Our dining was kept small to supplement exactly that vibe. So, the Hog Roast Coventry team went with a smaller hog roast dining experience. We gave the family a truly special dining experience by having our signature hog roast cooked on-site – a process which had been started earlier in the day at our own kitchens with our own designed mobile hog roasting machines able to be packed up and transported while still cooking. The result is an experience that the family won’t soon forget, nor will father Lloyd or the birthday girl. To see our hog roast cook away at the party is nothing short of spectacular, especially so when you know it is all for your small family party. One of our bigger hog roasts alone could feed 100 hundred guests; now imagine how much could be enjoyed for 35 when you’ve also got a compliment of sides, too!
Some boiled new potatoes, homemade sage and onion stuffing, seasonal leafy greens, and creamy red cabbage slaw was all that was needed to round out this menu. Lloyds family will be enjoying hog roast rolls for the next week – another birthday present from the Hog Roast Coventry team to the birthday girl!
